I am Arletta, the founder of Unaan.

For twenty years, I was a beauty therapist and acupuncturist, promoting a natural, holistic approach to health and skincare. During that time, I dreamt often of going further, of creating something bigger: a sustainable clothing brand. It seemed a natural progression. But, like many people, I was busy, and my dream was always put on hold, there for some day in the future. 
In March 2021, during the long evenings of lockdown when I could not work, I lay propped up in bed sketching designs and ideas. I drew eight simple dresses. I called them the Black and White design. In my mind's eye, they were versatile and unashamedly feminine. 
The months passed but I didn't return to my old way of life. Instead, as my passion grew. I began planning a business model. I then set about finding a team of reliable, like-minded partners.
In March 2022, exactly a year after those very first evenings spent sketching in bed, Unaan was born!

And now?
Unaan is my platform where I can express my creativity and put my eco-friendly values into practice. But more importantly, Unaan is my opportunity to do what I love most, which is to work with women, making them both feel and look wonderful.
